PRO LOOK Landscape and Home Improvement is Hiring a Project Manager Near Danville, VA

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various projects from initiation to completion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performing a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy construction projects; performing manual work
  • Maintaining a clean job site: picking up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
  • Ensuring that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, bringing problems to the attention of your Manager or HR Manager
  • Frame, layout, and building floors
  • Prepare layout and build walls
  • Install light fixtures and vent fans
  • Install and prepare drywall for finish tape, mud, and texture
  • Cabinet and or finish carpentry, trim, build and install
  • Installation of windows and doors
  • Install ceramic tile
  • Painting interior walls and trim
  • Manage a team of four
  • Prepare weekly project schedules
  • Maintain the budget for each project
  • Perform site inspections
  • Schedule weekly/bi-weekly/monthly meetings with clients to discuss project progression
  • Assist with other duties as directed by your Manager

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment
  • Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work
  • Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions
  • Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in heavy construction work
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Must know how to operate a computer
  • Must understand the importance of meeting deadlines and budgets
  • Must have two to three years of experience managing a team
  • Must have two to three years in construction or handyman field
